From pizza to windows, Medford hosts many companies covering a wide spectrum of industries.

Located in northern Wisconsin, Medford is home to Weather Shield's corporate headquarters and several of its manufacturing facilities, which collectively employ over 1,300 people.

Each day the city's population of 4,300 nearly triples with the influx of retail, office and factory workers. In fact, some of our employees drive up to 120 miles roundtrip from seven surrounding counties to work in Medford.

The summers prove to be beautiful in this Wisconsin city. With an average temperature of 72 degrees, the weather is perfect for an outdoor adventure. And you don't have to look far. The city is complete with a large municipal park that includes a swimming pool, playground equipment, grilles and picnic shelters, as well as a skateboard/rollerblade park. Just a short stroll away is the Riverwalk, a paved trail that winds through the city on the banks of the Black River.

The Mondeaux Dam Recreation Area provides a beautiful setting for a northwoods adventure. Located in the Chequamegon National Forest, there's a beach for swimming, campsites, a playground, hiking and biking trails, and much more.

And the fun extends into fall and winter, too. You can view beautiful autumn foliage from Timm's Hill, the highest point in Wisconsin. Or, test the slopes at Granite Peaks ski area. Whatever you like, you'll find it in Medford or just minutes away.
